Philippe Hallopeau

Director of Regulatory Affairs and Operator Relations

Biography

Philippe Hallopeau trained as a telecoms engineer, and this has been a common thread throughout his career. He began his professional life as a telecoms consultant in a consultancy firm. After this, he went on to work for various companies in the telecoms sector, including Cegetel (now SFR) and Vivendi Telecom Development (consumer and network branch), where he acquired in-depth experience in managing relations with telecoms operators. Building on the strength of his professional background and expertise in the telecoms sector, Philippe joined Odigo (formerly Prosodie) in 2001 as Director of Regulatory Affairs and Operator Relations. His role comprises two main responsibilities linked to the company's telecoms business: maintaining relations with telecoms operators and managing regulatory affairs. This requires particular attention to compliance and the current rules in force. His work is constantly evolving, largely due to tougher legislation in the sector and Odigo's international expansion. Philippe represents Odigo in various French professional associations in the telecoms sector (such as AFMM, FFTélécoms, APNF, A2C) which aim to protect the interests of companies and domestic operators. On a day-to-day basis, Philippe's role revolves around negotiation to secure the best contracts and safeguard Odigo's interests and meet customer needs. Philippe's cross-functional role puts him in charge of coordinating projects with other departments and showcases his interpersonal skills. He particularly appreciates the dynamic and progressive nature of his job, which has a direct impact on the company's commercial activity.
